Christian M. Cavalier
When it comes to litigation, knowing the law and being able to articulate legal arguments is only half of the battle. One must have knowledge, experience and technical expertise in the subject matter of the litigation itself, such as law enforcement tactics & techniques, medicine and computer & information technologies. This is what separates good trial attorneys from the great ones.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Christian directly worked in information technology, the fire and emergency medical services industry and started his own businesses. He has brought this ground-level expertise to his practice at Rion, Rion & Rion.
Christian received his B.A. from Marquette University in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2014. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio as well as federal court, both District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. Christian is a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and DUI Defense Lawyers Association. He also an active member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and Dayton Bar Association. He currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Bar Exam & Qualification Sub-Committee charged with evaluating the character and fitness of those who apply for legal licensure in the state of Ohio.
Not only does Christian practice law on a full-time basis for the Firm, but he also actively works in the Fire Service. Christian is a certified professional firefighter and certified paramedic, both the national and state levels. His background and technical expertise adds to the depth of knowledge that is found at the Firm and brings new perspectives, particularly to criminal cases. Christian has been with the Firm since March of 2015 and handles all aspects of criminal and civil litigation in both state and federal court.
